This data is processed by Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, in the course of serving and protecting the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track visitors across sites or build a profile of you. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer service
  • Assess your eligibility for our demand response services
  • Send you information about our services (with your consent)
  • Improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect against fraudulent or illegal activity

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your personal data based on:

  • Consent - When you submit a contact form or subscribe to communications
  • Legitimate interests - To improve our services and respond to enquiries
  • Contract - When necessary to provide services you have requested

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who assist us in operating our website and services:
    • Cloudflare Pages — website hosting and content delivery
    • Web3Forms — contact form processing and delivery
    • Microsoft 365 — business email (hi@tripleedge.energy)
  • Electricity system and network operators, where necessary to register your site and deliver demand response services. In Ireland this includes ESB Networks and EirGrid. In Great Britain it includes NESO and the relevant distribution network operator. We share only what the operator requires to register and settle your participation, and we tell you before we do it.
  • Professional advisors including lawyers, accountants, and auditors
  • Regulatory authorities when required by law

All third parties are required to respect the security of your personal data and treat it in accordance with the law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • Contact form submissions: 2 years
  • Customer records: Duration of business relationship plus 7 years

7. Cookies

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no social media tracking pixel and no cross-site tracking.

Our website analytics is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It sets no cookie and does not track you across websites.

The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary ones placed by Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, to deliver the site and protect it from attack — for example a bot-management cookie that distinguishes automated traffic from real visitors. These are exempt from the consent requirement under regulation 6(4) of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and regulation 5(5) of the Irish European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 336/2011), because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested.

If we ever introduce analytics or any other non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first, through a banner that lets you refuse as easily as you accept, and we will update this section before we do.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS)
  • Regular security assessments
  • Access controls limiting who can view personal data

9. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) by the following sub-processors:

  • Cloudflare — content delivery may route through non-EU edge servers. Covered by EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
  • Web3Forms — form processing infrastructure. Covered by SCCs.
  • Microsoft — email services. Covered by EU-US Data Privacy Framework, SCCs, and Microsoft’s Data Protection Addendum.

Where data is transferred outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards are in place under Chapter V GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

10. AI & Automated Processing

Triple Edge Energy does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning to make automated decisions about you or to process your personal data. Your data is not used to train AI models.

AI is not used in our demand response service operations — all grid participation decisions are made through conventional engineering processes and direct customer agreement.

Triple Edge Energy Ltd. uses AI tools internally for business productivity (e.g., research, engineering analysis, software development). These tools are governed by our internal PII & LLM Usage Policy, which prohibits sending third-party personal data to AI providers that lack a Data Processing Agreement.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
